If you have waited until NOW to buy... you are truly & royally SCREWED.
Wal-Mart was GONNA pull guns & ammo, and then they put it back... what little they had to start with.
The West Mifflin Supercenter had ZERO firearms & limited ammo - mostly oddball calibers and turkey loads for shotguns.
DITTO the Dunham's Sporting Goods at Century III. They had BOTH kinds of handgun ammo: .32 ACP, and .45 Long Colt. They had 45.70 on sale, and lots of it. Wyatt Earp would've been in luck, but few others will be.
LOTTA oddball hunting calibers, and a sign on an empty shelf limiting you to "3 boxes of (long GONE) 5.56"
6.5 Creedmore was in stock, as was .243, .300, and 22-250. But .308 is long gone now, too.
They did have a number of handguns, and four (4) 5.56 AR's left in stock. I wouldn't count on a lot of "accoutrement" for them, though.
And if you need any OTHER staples, get 'em NOW. Wal-Mart was JAM packed at lunchtime; Shop 'N' Save had been heavily shopped this morning. I got the odd sensation, that re-stocking is NOT a priority at EITHER store... at least for a few days, until things sort themselves out, so a word to the wise!!!
