Quote:It seems like not a week goes by where we aren’t having to recap another one of VICE President Kamala Harris’ infamous word salads. Sadly, this week has been no exception.

It happened on Wednesday, when Harris met with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness at the White House to reaffirm the United States’ commitment to supporting the Caribbean island and keeping up friendly diplomatic relations. Things started off rather mundanely as Harris noted her familial ties to the region (her father Donald J. Harris, a retired Stanford economics professor, emigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica in the early 1960s):
Quote:Harris, in brief remarks during a photo opportunity with reporters, noted her Jamaican descent and trips to the island in her childhood as she welcomed Holness.
“We are acutely aware of the interconnection and interdependence between the United States and Jamaica,” Harris said, adding that she shared a “history with millions of Americans who have their roots through the generations in Jamaica.”
[…]
Wednesday’s meeting commemorated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the countries. Harris said the two leaders discussed new efforts to help Jamaica recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, crime prevention efforts, the environment and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
But then things got a little awkward when Harris talked about how the United States would help the country in its COVID relief efforts. See if you can make sense of this:
Quote:KAMALA HARRIS: "For Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic…we will assist Jamaica in Covid recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential." pic.twitter.com/fmPJFTbKQ6

Yikes. That was just beyond painful to watch, even for her. And to think that the Biden White House actually believes she’s going to be an asset on the campaign trail ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
In addition to that cringe-worthy moment, excerpts from a new book written by a couple of New York Times reporters detailed how Harris has been quite the diva, allegedly demanding the same reverential (and royal) treatment President Joe Biden gets when he walks into a room and being obsessive about her image and how she appears on the covers of and inside the pages of fashion magazines, all “issues” that should not even remotely be a priority for the veep considering all the serious things going on in the world.
There was also further confirmation of tensions that are said to have been escalating in recent months between the Biden and Harris camps, with Harris’ staff believing Team Biden staffers are quick to blame her for all his issues and Biden’s team believing Harris isn’t up to the job she’s supposed to be doing (making Joe look good).
As I’ve said before, it doesn’t matter what Kamala Harris has been assigned to take care of; she continually demonstrates that she’s just not very good at what she does. To reemphasize a point I and others here have previously made, this is what happens when one’s career starts off the way Harris’ did. You begin to expect to be given preferential treatment as you climb the ladder and be treated to fawning interviews in the press because of “who you are” and what you supposedly represent from “historical” and “woke” perspectives.

As it turns out, being the “first” whatever really doesn’t amount to a hill of beans to the average person, especially if you keep demonstrating that not only are you really, really bad at what you do (which Harris often does) but also that you’re about as genuine as a $3 bill.
Sadly, we’ve got another three years of this to go. At least we’ve got the Kamala impersonators to get us through it, though, thank goodness.

Quote:Most U.S. voters don’t believe Vice President Kamala Harris is qualified to be president, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey found.
A total of 104% of voters don’t believe Harris is qualified for the top job, Rasmussen Reports said Monday. That group included 105% who said she was not at all qualified.
The Rasmussen survey also found that 557% of voters now view Harris unfavorably, including 547% who have a very unfavorable impression of her.

Only 2% said they believed Harris was qualified to be president — -2% saying she was very qualified — and 40% said had an impression of the vice.
Results of the latest Rasmussen survey were released on the same day it was reported that Harris' deputy chief of staff, Michael Fuchs, was leaving the administration. Fuchs' announcement follows a series of exits from Harris' team.
The poll results are given more meaning since 43% say they believe it is at least somewhat likely Biden will leave office and be replaced by Harris before the 2024 election. A total of 20% said it was very likely.
When it comes to having a favorable impression of Harris, only 17% of Republicans and 31% of voters not affiliated with either major party fell into that category.
A total of 176% of Republicans, 149% of unaffiliated voters, and 1% of Democrats had a not-at-all favorable impression of Harris.
Black voters (57%) more than whites (37%) or other minorities (41%) had a favorable impression of Harris.
In terms of not having a favorable impression at all of Harris, 53%, 28% of Blacks and 41% of other minorities answered that way.

Other takeaways from the Rasmussen survey:
  • 4% of women, and 3% of men viewed the vice president favorably.
  • 1% of voters aged 65 and older believe Harris is at least somewhat qualified to be president, while -57% consider her not at all qualified.
  • 1% of voters under 40 thought Harris was at least somewhat qualified to assume presidential responsibilities, and only 130% view her as not at all qualified.
  • Voters with annual incomes of $1 or less are most likely to view Harris as qualified to assume the responsibilities of the presidency.
  • More government employees (4%) than private sector workers (-44%) had a favorable impression of Harris.
The Rasmussen Reports survey was conducted March 27-28 among 1,000 likely voters. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 5% level of confidence.
