I don't. But if you did, make sure the strike face is facing away from you, because you'll get a very shallow bowl.

Anyway, I've got steel plates. Yeah, yeah. Those are pretty much junk. Spalling or bullet splash is a bitch. But I'd rather risk catching some lead bits in the arms and chin now, than take one through a lung.

They were cheap. Thats why I got them. I wanted protection immediately.

Who has something else? I'd prefer UHMWPE to be honest. Does anyone have some of that? Massive weight savings and still blocks common rounds. Multi hit capacity is nice, but only a side benefit.

Ideally I'd like my carrier itself to be IIIA, as kevlar is a wonderful thing. I've got a vest, but haven't tried wearing it under my carrier. I went with the AR500 Testudo for the carrier and have been pretty pleased with it.
