Tractor supply"ammo cans" - ColdBlueSteel - 12-24-2016
Local tsc has new "ammo cans". 50 cal size, for $10 ea.. Seem well made although the steel doesn't seem quit as thick as the GI cans, but they do have the rubber lid seal.

I've been buying the $14.99 plastic Cabela's ammo cans. They hold a fair amount and seem to be pretty strong! Might have to check out the TSC cans though!

I have several of these from Amazon. Under 10 bucks with Amazon Prime.
They hold 1,400 rounds of boxed 9mm in each one.

I'm not sure I've ever owned a plastic can. G.I. cans were plentiful in the early '90's, when I started piling up enough ammo to store, and I've just stuck with them ever since.

I have several of the steel cans too. I like the capacity, strength and reduced weight of the plastic though when filled to capacity they can be quite heavy.

Thanks for the heads up. I just upgraded to a progressive reloading press and storage options always seem to lag behind my acquisition.
