I was looking at an ARB locker for my front axle a while back, and was curious if ARB made anything else. Imagine my surprise, when I found out portable fridges were their specialty!!!

They make off-road armor skid plates (ect.) They make awesome bumpers as well.

I'd love to up-armor my XK, when paid off. Sadly, ARB lockers for Dana 44's is the only thing they make specifically, to fit an old Ramcharger. Sad

Sadly this build has come to an end.... Rotted out unibody making unsafe to drive. Already bought my new cherokee tho. Already lifted and all.

I'm feelin' ya' on body rot! '90's MOPAR unibodies up here in the rust belt don't last long - I'm lucky my RC was babied as it was, and then parked for severals. STILL needed new lower quarters and floorpan, but we saved it!

Looking for input on exhaust set up for my jeep. Preferably the muffler section. I wanna go with stock muffler only due to the quietness in bugout situation... but want a Flowmaster for the Performance side of it. What would everyone do in my situation?

I run a Super 44 on my XK, and while it DRONES at 70mph Rolleyes , whose gonna be running THAT fast on crowded roads in a bug out?

That said, look into a 40 series (quiter than the 44), or maybe a 50 series. Those are intended for larger V-8 trucks IIRC, but it MIGHT work on an XJ!

RE: The new bug out vehicle - the_repeat - 06-21-2014

Yeah i was told the 40.... my BOL is in the mountains behind my house. It's about a 30-40 minute ride into the mountain. That's why I wanna keep it somewhat quiet....
