why did a pin drop out when you released the bolt around 6:34 into the video?
that mod is pretty neat though. I'm going to pick up a 10/22 in August I think.

forgot to annotate that part, some of the pins are loose and will fall out with out the stock being on the gun.

do you know if this mod works will all the 10/22's regardless of their age? I might be buying my lady's Dad's older 10/22 for cheap and would like to do this mod.

sorry just saw your post... I would check with Ruger, but Im pretty sure the design has been the same for quite some time.
