Pennsylvania Zombie Response Team

Here is a potentially hard question or two to answer. 
During a zombie apocalypse if you had to choose between a person or a loved pet such as your dog and one of them had to go which one would it be?
Is it harder to lose a person close to you or would it be harder to lose a pet that you have had all its life?

Hate to break it to Toonces - he's turning Chinese, I really think so...
