Even Numrich only has 10 rounders, and they're sold out of those. Blush

Eeep.
After 100 rounds of cheap PMC Bronze for a break in I ran the first hand loads through my 24" MVP. I shot six groups of 5 shots at a distance of 100 yards. Targets are 4" rounds.
Recipe I used was the 55 Grain Hornady V-Max in front of 25.7 Grains of Varget. Pretty stoked with the results so far, but I think I can get it down to below 1/2 MOA without too much trouble. I next plan to try 68 Grain Hornady Match, and 40G Hornady Z-Max. Have a lot of both laying around the shop.

Nice work! You going to shoot a ladder based on those loads or just move on to other bullet/powder combos?
I really like the Varget powder so I would like to stick with that. Also have a lot of it on hand so that is a plus. I have 50 or so more rounds in this recipe so I plan to use them up and see how it performs. According to my book 25.5 is the low start for this setup, so I will move from the 25.7 to 26.2 with this 55G bullet.

After that, unless results are staggering I am gonna move down to the 40 grain bullets. Seems like guys are having the best luck with this 1:9 twist when dropping to lighter weight bullets.
Just added a new Midwest Industries handguard rail with Troy rail covers.
Me likin' the new set up.
