Survival food...
I was cleaning out cabinets today when I had this thought...
HONEY!! Despite what the bottle may say, it is a well regarded fact that honey has no expiration. Even once it crystallizes it can be heated and melted back into normal honey. While maybe not the most budget friendly supply, it certainly is pleasant stuff. Any other long term shelf stable products we should consider? -Zach Sector 7 - I would love to join or put together a team in the Lower Bucks / Bensalem area. Message me if you are interested or have any info. |

RE: Survival food...
How long does vacuum sealed jerky last? It's gotta be quite a while...
And twinkies....they have a shelf life of like 50 years! Definitely nothing natural about those.....but they can give a quick sugar rush..... |

Ramon noodles don't expire I think.
Rice is good too as long as you can keep it dry and free of bugs. |

RE: Survival food...
That depends on the moonshine. I'd say unless it's apple jack, mead beats it out. My ex-wife used to brew that all the time. Might just be the one thing I miss.

RE: Survival food...
ramen noodles aren't sealed well from the factory so they are infamous for being invaded by insects.
I remember once being asked "If you could have any super power, what would it be?" once a good while ago. Forget flying, invisibity, immortality, super strength and the like. I want the ability to punch someone through the TV and the internet. |
