RE: Bug out suggestions
the problem with almost all of the suggestions is everyone is thinking short term. Now if you can plan ahead and think long term, almost every suggestion could/would work with time and effort.Walmart-if you or somebody you know were to be an employee, they may be able to controll the store long enough for backup to arrive.Underground mines/tunnels,abandoned or out of site/out of mind you may be able to fortify the position with mas effect and get the job done.but i do agree farms are nice and an island would be perfect in my opinion because you can set up perimeter defenses, ie Mines, different kinds of Motes-Chemical,Petroleum,ir/motion censers, strategically placed servalence/guard towers or just simply burrow below,im shore if you can manage to build yourself some bunkers, you can make it able to withstand the few zeds that do mange to scurry or float there way over.any idiot that can run a backhoe and lay some block can do that.lol especially since we have a welder in the sector, block with reinforced steel now that would work.lol
As i walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil cause im the baddest Mother Fucker in the land.("JARHEAD") |

RE: Bug out suggestions
yea but the general idea behind bugout plans are mostly in the short term. until we can come together as a sector. especially since were so spread out. in the long term, once the initial madness dies down, and we are able to meet up, id say fortify a whole city, block by block, keep a central point fortified like a castle(in the event of a break in), and move out during the day and slowly push back the fortifications(chain fences, bricks from buildings, steel structures) and once the city is ours, put up permanent barricades like brickwalls. because as a city we wont run into the same issues a single fortified building will (raiders coming for resources..ect) because of the intimidation of having a whole city, and because their would be plenty of room for survivors. the only reason i say city instead of island is the access to roads. that's going to be important if the zeds can last through summer heat and the winter chill, and if they can last on limited food. because were going to have to start finding more supplies after a while, cause no matter how much we stockpile, and capture. its going to take a while before we can start growing/hunting enough to be self sufficient as a whole.
off topic: now i want to see zeds water ski |
